PROGRAM OF THE LOGAN CENTER
PITCH IT! LAUNCH
Friday, May 10, 5:30pm; Free; register >>
Artistic seduction. Installations. Bites and beverages. Performances. Exhibitions. One night only.
Logan Center proudly launches the first cohort projects of Pitch It!, a grant project designed to support collaborative student projects that transcend disciplinary boundaries and generational lines. Our inaugural grant program includes six teams of undergrad, grad, and Ph.D. students and their respective projects that showcase the capacity of the arts to inform, influence, and innovate. Leveraging the Logan Center’s multifaceted resources—technology, stages, expertise, and inspiration—this initiative solicited UChicago undergraduate, graduate, and professional school students, as well as Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) to submit proposals for site-specific work within the Logan Center.
The Pitch It! Launch includes installations, exhibitions, and performances from:
Anatomic Motion
Garden Chess Set
Horsemeat: A Musical
NPC
Supplanting Biophobic Loneliness
You’re Listening Too
We invite you to the public launch where you’ll hear the original pitches for each project, meet the creators, tour their projects in the building, and culminate the evening with live DJs and the first performance of musical Horsemeat.
Food and refreshments provided; cocktails available for purchase from Café Logan. This event is FREE; please register >>
