Get ready for a fun and exciting adventure exploring West African music! Join Azania Drum for an interactive Djembe Orchestra workshop, where you’ll play, discover, and learn about the rich lineage of West African percussion instruments and their cultural significance.”
Founded in 2001, Azania Drum is a youth and young adult mentoring organization that instills discipline, leadership and teamwork through the lens of West African music and culture.

This range of programs offers members of the University, South Side, and greater Chicago communities the chance to connect and build sonic wellness through the arts.
