Behind the Scenes at the MADD Center: Professor Jacqueline Stewart hosts Turner Classic Movies

On February 13, 2026, the MADD Center hosted a filming with Professor Jacqueline Stewart for Turner Classic Movies’ Silent Sunday Nights, the series she has hosted since 2019.
A professor in Cinema and Media Studies, Stewart brings rich historical and cultural context to the films she introduces. In the conversation, she also shared a Black History Month recommendation: Say Amen, Somebody, a documentary newly added to the National Film Registry that celebrates gospel legends such as Thomas Dorsey and the Barrett Sisters while tracing the powerful musical and spiritual legacy of gospel.
